Visualizing Body Structure and Organ Systems Interactively in 3D

With the Magic T-Shirt Size L, the anatomy of the human body can be explored interactively directly on the person wearing the shirt. Combined with the free Body Planet app, augmented reality displays three-dimensional anatomical views on a smartphone or tablet.

The virtual model provides a clear view of the internal organs, heart, digestive system, skeleton and muscles. Different anatomical layers can be shown or hidden individually, allowing students to examine specific structures as well as their spatial position and interaction within the human body.

In addition to anatomical structures, selected body functions can also be visualized. The animated digestion view follows the path of food through the body, while the heart view shows the heartbeat and blood flow as well as the atria and ventricles. This allows anatomical topics to be linked with body functions, health and nutrition.

Anatomical labels are available in several languages, including German, English, Spanish and French, supporting bilingual biology lessons. The photo function can be used to save selected anatomical views for further classroom activities.

The 3D models and animations have been certified by anatomy specialists at the University of Barcelona.
